Biography
A native of New York State, my artistic roots are in the East Village New York City scene of the 1980s. There I mingled with the great and the obscure, and found a wealth of riches in all corners. I have worked with David Salle, Karole Armitage, Robert Longo, and the late Gretchen Bender. As a scenic painter in NYC I worked on sets at Central Park's Delacorte Theater for the Shakespeare Festival, as well as Joseph Papp's Public Theater, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central. My paintings have shown in New York, Paris, and Amsterdam. In Arkansas I have had the privilege of working with acclaimed historic preservationist Becky Witsell, under whose tutelage I first learned the classic stenciling techniques that are so integral to my current work.
