Matt Coburn

Matt Coburn, an Arkansas native, born in Saline County in 1964 is an established impressionist oil painter. His immense love of landscapes is clearly evident in his dramatic style of broad, thick strokes combined with use of light and color to create a strong sense of depth and visual pleasure. His mastery use of the impasto technique literally brings his work from the canvas into a dimension of its own.

His love of Arkansas is shown in his sweeping landscapes of hay bales and cypress groves, colorfully proud roosters and iconic, rustic flag art.
